The detector is ideal for indicating the flooding of a space (basement, bathroom, etc.) with water. The principle of the flood detector LD-12 is clearly explained in the following figure. In the left part, there is a situation where the sensor is flooded, in the right part, the sensor is dry.
Principle of operation of the Jablotron LD-12 flood detector
The Jablotron LD-12 flood sensor has two outputs - one is active if the sensor is submerged, the other is active if it is „dry“. For flood evaluation it is ideal to use, for example, the Quido I/O module.
Remote flood detection over Ethernet? S I/O module Quido!
The ideal way to remotely detect flooding in your building is to connect a flood sensor to the Quidu ETH 3/0. Connecting the sensor and Quido is simple, as can be seen from the following picture. (The sensor can also be connected to most other Quidos that have inputs.)
Interconnection of flood detector and Quido ETH 3/0
After connection, the status of the sensor can be monitored on the Quido interface, which can also inform about flooding by email, HTTP GET to your server, etc.
